How to Create a Book Product (Digital)

If you'd like to sell an ebook, here is the tutorial to set it up in Woocommerce.

Adding the product in Woocommerce

1. In the admin dashboard, go to Products > Add New.
2. Add the title of your book as the product name.
3. Under Product Data, make sure Simple Product is selected.
4. Under Product Data, check the Virtual checkbox.
5. If you would like readers to be able to download the book files from your website directly, you can also check the Product Data > Downloadable checkbox. Otherwise, you can deliver the files by connecting with Bookfunnel.
6. In the Product Description, you can paste your blurb.
7. In the Product Image, you can add your book cover.
8. Under Product Data > General, you can add your book price (and schedule sales).

Delivering the book files with Bookfunnel

If you wish to use Bookfunnel to deliver the ebook files to your readers, it's definitely possible! Bookfunnel has a very thorough tutorial on how to set it up on their end.

The main thing you will need to do in your store is add the right SKU to your books. You can edit SKUs by going to Product Data > Inventory on individual products.
