How to Create a Book Product (Print)

If you'd like to sell physical copies of your books, here is the tutorial to set it up in Woocommerce.

If you are planning on using a company to print-on-demand and ship your books for you, consider reading the tutorials on how that company integrates with Woocommerce first (or let us know which company you'd like to use and we can do the research for you!) It's possible the process to add the books to Woocommerce will be different.


Adding the product in Woocommerce

If you are shipping the books yourself and manage your own stock, follow this tutorial to add books to your Woocommerce store.

  1. In the admin dashboard, go to Products > Add New.
  2. Add the title of your book as the product name.
  3. Under Product Data, make sure Simple Product is selected.
  4. In the Product Description, you can paste your blurb.
  5. In the Product Image, you can add your book cover.
  6. Under Product Data > General, you can add your book price (and schedule sales).
  7. Under Product Data > Inventory, you can add an SKU and your stock to manage it.
  8. Under Product Data > Shipping, you can add the information about the package and select which shipping class should be used.
